Me and Babs (for short) are reading the graphic novel called the hobbit. It’s about a hobbit named Bilbo who is on a quest with 12 dwarfs and one wizard called gandalf! On this quest they need to find their ancestors treasure and return it to themselves. They run into all sorts of creature including one called Gollum.

In 2008 on the day of december 31st i couldn’t wait till midnight, it would finally be 2009!!! A whole new start to a new year. On the day of december 31st i was at my friends house playing barbies with her eight year old sister Isabella, laughing giggling talking about our plans for the new year but i couldn’t stop talking about this ball that people would drop when it turned exactly midnight. The object kept me occupied on this topic for at least an hour.  So when the clock turned 12 BAM! the big ball dropped.The new years bash ball 

2009 !!!!

I have just started a new book called marly and me. It about the John and Jenny the newlyweds who get a puppy who that name marley after the talented Bob Marley. After getting this adorable puppy which turns out to be the worst dog ever. He eats everything in his sight which could be edible, but in this book Marley brings out the best for his family and is there for every special moment. I recommend this book to people who have lost a loved pet or just to any curious readers.

I can’t wait till christmas comes, i am so excited to see the rest of my family and my dad. This year is going to be something special. But don’t worry reading is included in this christmasy holiday entry. Some of the books that i am going to read over the holidays are probably going to be the new books or the treasured classics. I am going to finish the book that i am reading now and try to read some of the golden compass. A wonderful tale of a girl and her demon trying to finish an ever lasting quest to find her father.

1)    Me too I love Christmas. My family and me kind of do the same thing. But my most favorite thing to do is to put up the tree and decorate the tree and put the star at the top! Check out my bog you will love it

QUESTIONS AFTER READING CHAPTER 6-8 BLACK BOY

a) Why did Uncle Tom react so violently when Richard told him the time?

Uncle Tom reacted so violently to Richard because Richard some how talked to him which his students would never talk to him. I think uncle tom got mad because his students always give him the right time in a complete sentence however as Richard which got uncle tom outraged.

b) How do people react to Richard’s dream of becoming a writer?

The people react to richard’s dream by saying you’ll never be a writer and always putting him down since he is a negro. As I read in the book he says

Quote “well I want to be a writer”

“a what?”

“a writer”

“for what?”

“to write stories”

“You’ll never be a writer, who on earth put such ideas into your nigger mind?”

“nobody”

“I didn’t think anyone would ever would”

this is the conversation with Richard and the lady he is working for she however thinks that a nigger could never write such good literature.

c) How did Richard react at and after his graduation ceremony?

Richard was nervous about the graduation becuase whites were there watching and he was also furious that he himself coudl read out his speech for his graduation.

i have now started the 4th book in the gossip girl series called because i’m worth it. i am only on page 13 now but what happend in the third book at the ending was normal, Nate dumped Jenny for Blair but Blair turned him down. Serena is now going out with Blair’s Stepbrother Aaron, finally Vanessa and Dan are back together. But sadly Flow was the person who was crushed in the ending.

But lets get back with the 4th book! It February and things are getting spicy. Jenny dan’s little sister has joined in a Peer group a group were 4 or 5 freshman girls meet up with 2 seniors girls (the leaders) to talk about issues peer pressure all that stuff. But when jenny sits down to wait for her other peer group members or leaders she find blair a senior girl sitting across from her at the table. Jenny is now informed that one of the team leaders was her. Jenny really never liked her and what also gave Jenny the creeps was that Nate had dumped Blair for her in early november. But at least they had something in common they were both dumped by Nate……..

Chapter 3 and 4 Writing prompt J J

1) 4. IN CLASS WRITING PROMPT (TO HAND IN NEXT CLASS)

Among the titles that Wright considered for this autobiographical novel was American Hunger. This probably would have been an appropriate title as hunger seems to be the most compelling force in Wright’s life. Or is it fear? Or is it freedom? Or is it violence? Or is it love of knowledge? Or is it his desire to flee the South and become a writer? How do you respond to the images in the book that deal with these issues? How do Wright’s choices, decisions, and actions allow him to overcome the nearly insurmountable trials he faces?

In my opinion I think that this book should be called “a road to remember” because it is about his life and the hard times and the good times. In this book that I am reading I have found out so much detail, so much emotion, and the bond between Richard and his love of books. I think Richard is not either a white boy or a black boy, he is just something else which is hard to explain he is simply none of these races. He is the outsider, of his kind. Richards’s choices, decisions and actions get him to overcome problems by taking the hard way, which saying he didn’t do such a thing even though it was true but still being whipped or beaten and never giving up and just talking his way out of these situations.

Another title I could give this book would be “life in early 1990’s” because Richard takes place a long time ago and has to listen to these rules that black couldn’t speak for themselves and couldn’t talk back. But out of my two title choices I would have to choose “a road to remember” because it explains the book itself more and gives it an interesting title.
